Upgrade Your Verizon Motorola Droid RAZR to Android 4.2.2 !!!


The AOKP or Android Open Kang Project is one of the two variants of Android OS and AOKP JB-MR1 Milestone 1 can make your Motorola Droid RAZR to run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

Warning: This is a custom ROM based on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Developers are not liable for any damages which may occur on your device. Read and follow the instructions carefully to avoid any errors during installation. Do this at your own risk.

Requirements:



Must Read

1.The device must be rooted to flash a custom ROM.


2.Use only the Motorola Droid RAZR XT912. Flashing this ROM to other device can lead to unforeseen consequences.


3.Enable USB debugging on your device.


4.Battery level must be at least 50 per cent to avoid any power interruption.


5.Install a custom recovery app on your device.


6.Make a backup of all your personal information, settings, and data files on your device.


7.Download the AOKP JB-MR1 Milestone 1 and the Google Apps package on your computer.




Flashing Instructions:

1.Connect the Verizon Motorola Droid RAZR XT912 to your computer using a USB cable.


2.Copy the downloaded custom ROM and the Google Apps package to the internal storage of your device. Do not unzip them.


3.Disconnect the device from the computer and turn it off. Wait for at least 5 seconds to complete the power cycle.


4.Reboot the device into Recovery mode. Press and hold Volume up + Volume down + Power keys till the screen flashes.


5.In the Recovery mode, make a Nandroid backup of your existing ROM to restore it in case something goes wrong. Select "backup and restore > backup."


6.Go back to the main menu of Recovery mode and perform a total wipe on your device. Select "wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe cache partition." Go to advance and select "wipe dalvik cache."


7.Go back and begin with the installation. Select "install zip from internal SD card > choose zip from internal SD card." Choose the custom ROM firmware you have downloaded earlier then confirm installation. Do the same with the Google Apps package.


8.After the installation, go back and select "reboot system now." Wait for at least 5 minutes as the device runs the firmware for the first time.








Well done! Your Verizon Motorola Droid RAZR XT912 is now running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with AOKP JB-MR1 Milestone 1 custom ROM.
